Your information

Privacy policy

Last updated 29 October 2026

Your property enquiry is personal. This policy explains how N1 Realty handles information when you browse our website or contact us about homes, apartments or land, and how to exercise your privacy rights.

1.Who is responsible for your information

N1 Realty is an independent real estate agency based in Port Harcourt. We are the data controller for the personal information we use to manage our website and property enquiries. Call 0907 781 7124 or contact us on WhatsApp about this policy or your information.

2.Information we collect

You can browse this website without creating an account or completing a form. When you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or social media, we receive the information you choose to share.

  • Contact details, such as your name, phone number and email address.
  • Property requirements, including location, budget, preferred features and timing.
  • Details you provide about a property you want to sell or let, and our correspondence with you.
  • Relevant identity, ownership or transaction documents if needed for a service you request. We will explain what is needed before asking you to provide them.
  • Technical information that hosting services may process, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and access times, to deliver and protect the website.

3.Why we use information and our lawful bases

  • To answer enquiries, arrange inspections and carry out agreed agency services: to take steps you request before a contract or perform our contract with you.
  • To maintain business correspondence, secure the website and address misuse: our legitimate interests in running a reliable service, where those interests do not override your rights.
  • To keep records or disclose information where required: compliance with applicable legal obligations.
  • For optional marketing: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time. A property enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing.

4.Information from other people

During a property enquiry, an owner, prospective buyer, tenant or authorised representative may share relevant information with us. Only share another person’s details if you have authority to do so. Where required, we will tell that person how we obtained their information and how it will be used.

If you choose not to provide information needed for a particular enquiry or transaction, we may be unable to carry out that part of the service. You can still browse the website.

5.Who may receive your information

We do not sell personal information. We limit sharing to what is relevant for the purpose and supported by a lawful basis.

  • Owners, prospective buyers, tenants and their authorised representatives involved in your enquiry, inspection or transaction.
  • Lawyers, surveyors and other professional advisers where needed for the work you ask us to coordinate.
  • Providers of hosting, email, communications and other services used to operate the business.
  • Regulators, courts or public authorities where disclosure is legally required, and advisers where necessary to establish or defend legal rights.

6.Cookies, images and external platforms

The website does not currently use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. If we introduce optional tracking, we will explain it and request consent where required before it is used.

Images and other website content are delivered through Sanity, our content platform. Your browser contacts its servers to display them, which may disclose your IP address and request details. Social links open external platforms, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Their handling of information is covered by their own privacy policies.

7.Processing outside Nigeria

Hosting and communication providers may process information outside Nigeria. Any international transfer we arrange must have a lawful basis under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, such as recognised adequate protection or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

8.How long we keep information

We keep enquiry records while dealing with your request and any related follow up. Transaction records may need to be retained for applicable legal, accounting or dispute resolution requirements. The relevant period depends on the record, the service provided and any legal obligation or unresolved claim. We delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Contact us to ask about the retention period for a particular record.

9.Your privacy rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in Nigerian data protection law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information. You can object to processing, including direct marketing, and withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

This website does not make decisions about you through automated profiling. Where the law applies to a decision made solely by automated means, you have rights to challenge it and seek human involvement.

10.Requests and complaints

Call 0907 781 7124 or message N1 Realty on WhatsApp to make a privacy request. Describe what you need without sending unnecessary identity documents. We may ask for proportionate information to confirm your identity and will respond within the period required by law.

You can also complain directly to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. You do not need our permission or have to complete a complaint with us first.

11.Protecting your information

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information. No internet service can promise complete security. Do not send passwords, card details or unnecessary sensitive documents with an initial enquiry. If further documents are needed, ask us how to provide them.

12.Children’s information

Our agency services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly request children’s personal information through this website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can assess it and take appropriate action.

13.Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our data practices change and revise the date above. Where a change requires notice or fresh consent, we will provide it or request it as appropriate. Browsing the website does not, by itself, give consent to new uses of your information.
